Biography

Tom writes on political philosophy and ethics. In political philosophy, he is particularly interested in questions about the authority of political rule, the nature of justice and injustice, and the relation between political authority and justice. In ethics, his work focuses on understanding the contours of everyday ethical thinking and identifying plausible theoretical justifications for it. He studied at Oxford and UCL and taught at the University of Manchester before coming to Wadham.
